Letter To Coaches

Dear College Softball Coach:

I’m writing this letter to extend an invitation to you and your staff to attend the 2010 Delaware Invitational Tournament Showcases. With the help of many volunteers we work hard to create this opportunity for student-athletes to showcase their skills for you during the recruitment process and we would all love to see you in attendance.

This is our twelfth year for the Delaware Invitational Showcase and our second year for the Fall Showcase. We strive for continuous improvement each year based on feedback from the participants and attending coaches. Details for this year’s camp and associated tournaments are as follows:

Delaware Invitational College Exposure Tournament
This tournament will be held Friday through Sunday, July 16-18, 2010, with the players’ camp on Thursday, July 15. Games beginning Friday at 8:30 a.m. 64 teams will be participating. Games to be held at four quality complexes: Delcastle Recreation, Midway Complex, Powell-Ford, and Banning Park.

DIT Fall Showcase
Delaware Invitational Tournament Fall Showcase runs Saturday and Sunday, October 9-10, 2010. Games beginning Saturday at 8:30 a.m. 32 teams will be participating. Games to be held at four quality complexes: Delcastle Recreation, Midway Complex, Powell-Ford, and Banning Park.

At both tournaments, you will receive a profile with statistics on each student athlete upon check-in. All pitching speeds, catching stats, and running times recorded at the camp will be posted on our website no later than 10 days after the camp.

To help us ensure we prepare enough coaches binders and order enough lunch for all, we would appreciate you letting us know of your plans to attend. You can call us at 302-322-5100 or email us at deinvtourn@comcast.net. There is no charge for your attendance unless you do not register, in which a $25.00 fee will be charged in order to obtain a coaches binder. Thus, please register through NFCA so this does not occur.

Please refer to our website www.delawareinvitational.com for a list of participating athletes, directions, hotel information, teams attending the tournament, brackets, and game schedule.

Hopeful to see you in 2010!

Sincerely,
John Travis, Camp Director
