General Information

Delaware Invitational Tournaments, Inc. will be hosting its 5th Annual 16U & 18U ASA Delaware Invitational “Fall Showcase” Tournament.College coaches will have the opportunity to see our young female athletes in action.  We had a great turnout last year and plan for an even better one this year!

The tournament will be held Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd. 
PARTICIPATING TEAMS MUST BE ASA-REGISTERED AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO PLAY TWO GAMES ON SATURDAY DURING THE DAY WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF PLAYING AS EARLY AS 8:30A.M.

Tournament registration fee is $550.00 per team. The fees will cover umpires,
balls, prizes for the winning teams, and $100 will be donated to the McKenzie Travis College Softball Scholarship Fund. Registration forms and payment are due with your registration.  All registrations received will be reviewed by a selection committee. If your team is accepted to this tournament, application fees are non-refundable. All teams not selected will receive a refund of the application fee.  Once all teams are selected they will be posted on the website www.delawareinvitational.org. 

We will continually be updating the website with pertinent information regarding
the tournament including directions, brackets, lodging, participating teams, forms required from participating teams, scholarship applications, etc. so please check the site periodically.

Strong teams with a proven track record, who have previously participated in this tournament will be given preferential consideration. If you are new to this tournament,please provide some background information on your team when submitting your registration, i.e. the number of girls that will be seniors in the Fall of 2011, proof that you have competed in the past or will be playing a 2012 ASA-dominant schedule, etc.

While every effort is made to promote your players, to maximize their exposure, it is always a good idea to encourage the girls to contact their college(s) of interest and inform the coach of their summer playing schedule.

Teams attending this tournament are expected to use our tournament housing service, Partners in Team Travel (PITT).  If you choose to stay in a hotel outside
this service, your team will be assessed an additional $200 fee payable at check-in by cash or check.
